[Correction] Antibody validation

In the March 2010 article by Bordeaux et al. (BioTechniques 48:197–209, doi 10.2144/000113382), one of the antibodies highlighted in Figure 1 is incorrectly identified. The article identifies the antibody used to generate the Western blot image in Figure 1C and immuno-histochemistry (IHC) image in Figure 1D as rabbit monoclonal antibody clone 236B4 from Cell Signaling Technology (CST) (product number 2855). The actual antibody used to generate these images is rabbit monoclonal antibody 174A9 from CST (product number 9456), which is not recommended by the company for IHC. While it is a good example of incorrect localization, the authors sincerely regret this oversight and any possible damage it may have caused to CST's reputation.
