The miVac Duo biological sample concentrator from Genevac removes a wide range of solvents. According to the company, the unit typically removes water up to 40% faster than similar concentrators and is extremely quiet. The instrument is suitable for use with a wide range of solvents, from volatile organic solvents through to water and some of the higher boiling point solvents. The instrument is a centrifugal concentrator compatible for use with a variety of sample formats including tubes, microplates, vials, and round bottom flasks. Incorporating a four-swing position rotor, the system can simultaneously accommodate up to 20 shallow-well microplates or eight deep-well plates. The instrument is designed for oligonucleotide synthesis, RNA/DNA preparation, peptide preparation, sequencing, molecular biology, and ADME/toxicology research.
