GPCR Fluorescent Reporters
SpectraGenetics’ FAP-tagged G protein-coupled receptors products, including transfection-ready DNA and validated assay-ready cell lines, use fluorescent reporters called fluorogen-activating proteins (FAPs).
These tags only fluoresce in the presence of specific small-molecule fluorogens and allow for direct detection of the receptor itself. These tags provide a novel approach to screening drugs against G protein-coupled receptors, using high-throughput measurement of receptor internalization.
