Using antibody and ELISA technologies, R&D Systems Proteome Profiler 96
Microplate-based Antibody Array is designed to make multi-protein detection
more efficient. The assay relies on a 96-well microplate that is pre-spotted
with a carefully selected panel of capture antibodies in each well. When
experimental samples are added to the wells, up to 16 different proteins can
be detected simultaneously in a single sample using a two-site sandwich
immunoassay. The arrays offer the advantages of multianalyte profiling in a
format amenable to high-throughput analysis. They allow data to be collected
in approximately 3.5 hours, utilize small sample sizes (50-100 L), and can
identify proteins of interest without having to perform multiple
immunoprecipitation/Western blot experiments.
