RAPIDstain protein stain
Geno Technology’s RAPIDstain is a sensitive and ready-to-use protein stain based on Coomassie dye. It has a one-step protocol in which no mixing or preparation is involved; simply rinsing the gel and adding the stain causes protein bands to develop within 5-10 minutes, reaching maximum visibility in an hour. According to the company, the product only stains protein, leaving a clear background resulting in high band visibility. The gels require no destaining. The stain can detect as little as 4–8 ng BSA. Staining shows a linear response for densitometric gel analysis and produces sharp scanning or photographic results.
