Vibratory Microplate Shakers
Union Scientific released their new electromagnetic vibratory microplate shakers
A line of electromagnetic vibratory microplate shakers are available to hold
one-, two-, or three-stacks of regular or deep well microplates utilized in
growing cells. These are high- throughput machines and will hold up to
90-shallow well microplates.The microplates may be used inside incubators,
since they are equipped with remote controls. Horizontal, high frequency
vibrations have been shown to cause rapid interaction between cells and
liquid media without damaging the cells themselves. The motion is purely
horizontal and therefore not dependent upon the diameter of individual
wells. These machines are driven by electromagnets and have no rotating or
rubbing parts to cause wear, Union Scientific reports.
