Keystone Symposia: Going to Extremes: Cell Biology and Pathology of Axons

Organized by Valeria Cavalli of Washington University, Michael Fainzilber of Weizmann Institute of Science and Jeffery L. Twiss of Drexel University, the conference will:

  • Consist of four days of stimulating plenary and poster sessions;
  • Integrate the broad spectrum of neurodegenerative disease research together with the field of traumatic nerve injury, including the latest developments in molecular and cellular axonal research in both the central and peripheral nervous system;
  • Increase interactions and foster cross-disciplinary collaborations among basic, translational, and clinical researchers interested in therapeutic considerations of axon biology and pathology;
  • Convene with a keynote address by Martin A. Schwab of the University of Zurich on the evening of March 14.
