Keystone Symposia: The Gut Microbiome: The Effector/Regulatory Immune Network

Organized by Lloyd H. Kasper of Dartmouth Medical School, Javier Ochoa-Repáraz of EMD Serono, Inc. and Sarkis K. Mazmanian of California Institute of Technology, the conference will:
- Convene with a keynote address by Dan R. Littman of New York University School of Medicine, followed by four days of stimulating plenary and poster sessions;
- Assemble basic scientists in bacteriology and mucosal immunology with clinicians to explore the role of the microbiota in balancing the effector and regulatory response leading to immune homeostasis;
- Generate novel insights into the mechanism of human autoimmunity and shed light on potential new therapeutics, such as ones for treatment of autoimmune conditions such as IBD, CNS and RA;
- Provide for ample free time in a beautiful scenic setting for informal networking and collaboration-building.
