Jenny Straiton

Jenny studied Neuroscience BSc at King’s College London (UK), graduating in 2018 with a first-class degree following a final year project investigating pain mechanisms and a dissertation on the analgesic effect of virtual reality. After realizing she was hopeless in the lab and broke everything she touched, she turned to the much safer world of scientific publishing where she joined the open access team as an Assistant Editor.

A self-proclaimed ‘neuro nerd’, she is now the Editor of three open access neurology journals in the Future Science portfolio, as well as the recently launched Future Drug Discovery. Much more eloquent on paper than in person, she regularly writes for BioTechniques, predominantly covering the latest advances in neuroscience, drug discovery and CRISPR.
