Multiplex PCR

PCR is a well-established technique, and over the past decade, it has been adapted to quantify RNA and DNA quicker and more accurately. Multiplex PCR technologies have been developed to increase the number of RNA or DNA targets that can be quantified within a single well.

From quantitative PCR to digital PCR to Droplet DigitalTM PCR, the multiplexing capabilities of each have propelled RNA and DNA quantification forward, contributing to many different research fields and facilitating research from rare and precious starting materials.

This In Focus, supported by Bio-Rad Laboratories, will explore the challenges and advantages of multiplex PCR technologies and the tools being developed to overcome those challenges.
