Neuroscience

Eric Kandel, the recipient of the 2000 Nobel Prize in Physiology or Medicine for research on the physiological basis of memory storage in neurons, once described understanding the biological basis of learning, memory, behavior, perception and consciousness as the “epic challenge” of the biological sciences.

By then, there should also be successful therapies and preventions for all neurological diseases, including Alzheimer’s.

To find out more about the different techniques and methods deployed in the epic challenge of neuroscience, visit our BioTechniques journal.
