Researchers have developed a speech analysis smartphone app, called Cordio HearO, with the ability to detect acute heart failure. Heart failure is the leading cause of hospitalization in the USA and Europe, with over 26 million individuals affected worldwide. There is, therefore, a global need for increased monitoring of patients and simpler methods to identify symptoms.
