Improving flow cytometry data analysis with high-speed, high-resolution imaging

Written by ThermoFisher Scientific

Subjectivity in flow-cytometry data analysis has long been a challenge. Recent advancements in high-speed camera capabilities have led to the integration of morphological features with traditional flow cytometry, creating speed and depth-of-field challenges as events pass through a flow cytometer. This is overcome by coupling hydrodynamic and acoustic focusing to maintain steadystate event position for more accurate and precise imaging.

Read this Poster to learn how to leverage recent advancements in high-speed camera capabilities in-line with flow cytometry data to improve on gating and data analysis strategies.

Using this approach with the Invitrogen™ Attune™ CytPix™ Flow Cytometer, ThermoFisher Scientific have shown:

  • That aggregate exclusion, cell cycle analysis, live/dead and bright/dim population delineations can be improved by additional information from cell morphological features
  • Reports of altered research conclusions related to rare event immunophenotyping
  • Characterization of toxicological sequela
  • Proper identification of target events in highly heterogenous samples

And much more!
